Mark A. Rothman
Attorney
Mark Rothman is from Woodbury, NY. He attended State University of New York College at Cortland, NY, and then attended and graduated from Florida State University. Mark graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992.
After working in a law firm for a year, Mark founded The Rothman Law Offices, in Tampa, in 1993. Since then, Mark has added other lawyers to The Rothman Law Offices team.
Mark’s practice focuses on probate, estate planning and asset protection, wills and trusts, as well as small business law. Mark handles a variety of transactions for his small business clients, such as buy/sell agreements, partnership agreements, setting up corporations/LLCs, as well as assisting his clients with buying or selling their businesses.
Mark is a member of the Carrollwood Area Business Association, and is the current 2010 Vice Chairperson for the American Cancer Society’s Carrollwood Relay for Life. He was the co-chairperson in 2002 and 2003 for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Oldsmar, FL. Mark founded The Edith J. Cohen “Send Kids to Summer Camp” Foundation in 2002, which financially aids children to attend summer camp each year. Mark is the former President of the Town & Country Chamber of Commerce, and the former General Council for the Upper Tampa Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Mark enjoys public speaking, and often speaks for various professional and civic organizations, as well as senior living communities throughout Tampa Bay. Mark is an avid runner, and has accomplished 5 marathons. He has run numerous races throughout the years. Mark is married to his wife, Kim, and they have two cats – William and Shawnie

Kim Rothman
Marketing Director
Kimberly D. Rothman, Marketing and Public Relations Director with The Rothman Law Offices, grew up in Salem, Indiana. Kim moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1990, after graduating from Indiana University, and then met her husband, Mark, on a cruise in 1993.
Kim spent a number of years in the medical and diagnostic imaging industry, and the last seven of those years, she traveled extensively. Kim joined her husband, Mark, in his law practice in 2002, further using her marketing/P.R. skills.
Kim is very active and involved in her community, and enjoys doing volunteer work. She is a current member of Carrollwood Area Business Association, a member of the GFWC New Tampa Junior Woman’s Club, and is currently working on the 2010 Cattle Barons’ Ball, a large, annual Tampa fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Kim is a Past President of Carrollwood Area Business Association, serving in 2007-2008; served on the Centre Club’s Governing Board from 2005-2007, as well as the Board of Directors of the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce from 2005-2008, and is active in various organizations throughout the community.
Kim and Mark share their home with two “furry” sons – Shawnie and William – their cats. Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, traveling, cooking, and has recently taken an interest in learning the game of golf.
Sean Donovan
Attorney
Sean Donovan is a mid-westerner who was born in the fabled city of Kalamazoo, Michigan and was raised in the quaint rural community of Paw Paw, Michigan. Sean then went on to attend Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan where, in addition to earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration he was elected to the position of captain of the school’s cross country and track teams.
Upon Graduation form Grand Valley Sean worked in the banking, insurance, and investment industries for approximately 5 years before attending law school at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida. While at Florida Coastal, Sean was the first student in the school’s history to earn positions on the school’s Law Review, Moot Court, and Mock trial teams. Aside from earning a Juris Doctor Degree from Florida Coastal, Sean was also honored to have one of his law review articles published.
After law school Sean accepted a position as an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit where he prosecuted a caseload of approximately four hundred fifty cases. During the 3 plus years Sean spent at the State Attorney’s Office, he tried approximately forty felony and misdemeanor jury trials along with countless non-jury trials and testimonial hearings and motions. From the State Attorney’s Office, Sean went into private practice, where he practiced law in the areas of Criminal Defense, Family, Employment/Wrongful Termination, and general Civil Litigation. Sean handles these same types of cases for The Rothman Law Offices.
While not at work, Sean enjoys participating in various athletic events and reading.
George Melendez
Attorney
George Melendez was raised in the Carrollwood area of Tampa from the age of seven. After graduating from Jesuit High School, he attended Furman University in South Carolina and returned to Florida to attend law school at Nova Southeastern University. After obtaining his Juris doctor at Nova Law, George chose Carrollwood as his community to settle.
George has worked with the 6th Judicial Circuit Office of the Public Defender for the last three years. He will be practicing civil litigation with in our firm, such as Real Estate Law and Family Law, including Divorce, Child Custody, Visitation and Support, and Property and Marital Settlement agreements.
George is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Carrollwood Community Bar Association and the Hillsborough County Family Law Inn of Court.
George enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Kelli, and his dog Rocky. You can frequently find him cycling, running, reading, and meddling in the art scene in the community.
