Did you know that your car does not have to be “broken down” to be considered a LEMON?

The Florida Lemon Law and Federal Lemon Law (known as the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) have been designed to protect consumers who have purchased automobiles, other types of motor vehicles - such as RV’s, boats, or other watercrafts, equipment – such as computers, and other products that fail to perform in terms of acceptable quality and performance.  Obviously, a situation such as this creates a hardship for the owner, and often times the owner has options they are unaware of to remedy this problem.  If your purchase is indeed a Lemon, you may be entitled to a cash settlement, a replacement, or your money back.

Defects of your product that are not repaired or cannot be repaired within a reasonable amount of time or a reasonable number of attempts to repair, may mean that you are entitled to relief and/or compensation through the Florida Lemon Law, Federal Lemon Law or Breach of Warranty.

If you are dissatisfied with the answers you have gotten from the dealer from which you purchased your automobile, motor vehicle, equipment or product, contact us and we will attempt to resolve your issue with either the dealer or the manufacturer.  If they do not comply with their obligations, The Rothman Law Offices will file suit on your behalf.  If your case settles, the dealer or manufacturer will “make good” on the product, possibly by replacement or refunding your money.  This also means that the dealer or manufacturer will pay all costs associated with your case, including attorney’s fees.

Most cases settle prior to going to trial.  This makes sense as it is less expensive for the dealer or manufacturer to settle early on, rather than going through the time and expense of a trial, in addition to paying their own attorney’s fees, but yours, as well, pursuant to Federal and State laws that mandate this.
